IP PolitikFriday, October 16, 2009Breaking News: The GOP Supports and Protects RapistsIn yet another sign that the GOP has completely sold out its last vestiges of humanity, 30 Republican Senators voted against a legislative action brought by Senator Al Franken:To prohibit the use of funds for any Federal contract with Halliburton Company, KBR, Inc., any of their subsidiaries or affiliates, or any other contracting party if such contractor or a subcontractor at any tier under such contract requires that employees or independent contractors sign mandatory arbitration clauses regarding certain claims.Who are these 30 reprehensible special interest owned asshats?
At least one of this jackals has a daughter, John McCain, and I hope she raises hell and smacks her hate-based father square in his smarmy jowly face for working to support contractors like Halliburton. This legislation stems from an incredibly disgusting case where a Halliburton employee was gang-raped by her co-workers, locked in a container and forensic evidence destroyed. Read that article and then compare it to the legislation voted against by those 30 Republican Senators and tell me there is any possible way they can defend their actions. There is no way to justify voting against this legislation. And these Senators deserve to be publicly humiliated by siding with rapists against common decency.
