Maybe This'll Stick

Bush mounts new defence of Iraq war.

“The war we fight today is more than a military conflict. It is the decisive ideological struggle of the 21st century,” Mr Bush said in Salt Lake City, Utah, at the annual meeting of the American Legion.

The president’s new public relations campaign – his third attempt in less than a year to boost support for the war – will continue with a series of speeches through the fifth anniversary of the September 11 terrorist attacks and conclude on September 19, when Mr Bush addresses the United Nations General Assembly.

Um yeah. Keep spinning your wheelsPR Machine, Mr. Bush.

Shall we keep repeating the reality?

* The War in Iraq is based on outright lies and deception from the Bush White House.
*Saddam Hussein had NOTHING whatsoever to do with the attacks on 9/11.
* Saddam Hussein's Iraq posed zero threat to the United States (especially in light of incredible threat North Korea poses).
* The War in Iraq and George W. Bush have been superb recruiting tools for the terrorists.
* Osama bin Laden, the guy who did mastermind 9/11, is still roaming free and Bush does not care in the least about him anymore.
* Compassionate conservatism, as espoused by George W. Bush, is neither compassionate nor conservative.

Please do not allow the spin to get you and divert your rage at the absolute ineffectiveness of the GOP leadership and downright scandalous behaviour. The upcoming elections are not about gay marriage, flag burning or sex in schools or drugs. The upcoming elections are about sending a very clear message to the Republican party that they have seriously fucking screwed up our nation and its time to start to put our house back in order.

Diebold's Voting Machines Get EVEN Easier to Hack

Worst Security Flaw Ever Found in Diebold Electronic Voting Machines.

Basically, its super easy to make the voting machine boot from an external flash drive rather than the internal OS.

Which means that its pretty simple to just have all those votes going to the other team not get counted at all.

Which is why we should all be demanding paper receipts of our voting records and refuse any answer aside from yes. Diebold makes ATMs, would you just accept thier word that your deposit had posted or would you demand a reciept of proof? Yeah, I thought so. There is no reasonable explanation for not printing reciepts to verify a vote being tallied properly.
