Its kind of sad and sort of awesome to watch how the Republicans are lining up to turn on their former leader, the now ex-President George Bush.
The latest is Senate Minority leader Mitch McConnell: Bush was a ‘burden’ on my party.
Don't feel to bad, Mitch, he was a terrible burden on this nation and the world as well. But it sure is nice to see how quickly you turn on your own.
That and the blatantly racist idiotspeak coming out of some of your so-called pundits.
Barack Obama's been our President for a week and he's already done more to win my confidence and respect than George Bush did in eight stolen years.
Enjoy your marginality, Republican Party. The nation is moving on without you and your divisive rhetoric.

Rose-Tinted Ass Glasses: Bush Defends Katrina Response
Bush On Katrina: ‘Don’t Tell Me The Federal Response Was Slow’ which is to say, he's misremembering reality, again.
From the article:
– National Guard troops did not arrive in the area until two full days after the levees were breached.
– Bush did not leave his vacation home or assemble a task force until Wednesday, two days after the hurricane made landfall and the levees were breached.
– By Thursday, three days after landfall, FEMA had yet to set up a command and control center.
– FEMA Director Michael Brown said he had not heard about the more than 3,000 evacuees stranded in the convention center until Thursday. Many evacuees had been there since Tuesday morning.
– On Friday morning, Bush praised Brown: “Brownie, you’re doing a heckuva job.” He also said he was “satisfied with the response.”
– FEMA did not finalize its request for evacuation buses until Sunday, six days after Katrina hit. The buses “trickled into New Orleans, with only a dozen or so arriving the first day,” noted the Wall Street Journal.
– The Superdome was finally evacuated on Sunday, a full seven days after 30,000 evacuees had arrived there.
Maybe we are differing on the interpretation of the word "slow", Georgie? Maybe a week is fast in your world but for people living in the hell that was the aftermath of Katrina, it was a lifetime and the blase way you went about dealing with it speaks volumes as to your character or lack thereof.
The revisionisticalism effort continues unabated and unfettered by reality.

Revisionisticalism
Cheney: It’s Just An ‘Urban Legend’ That I ‘Exceeded My Authority’ As Vice President just as its a lie that he shot his hunting buddy in the face while drunk, lined Halliburton's pockets with billions and billions of dollars and publicly told Patrick Leahy to go fuck himself.
Dick Cheney is a deeply hateful and wrong human being who is, in large part, responsible for the state of our nation both internally and for the loss of respect around the world and for being a major recruiting tool for the terrorists because of his support for torture of prisoners.
History cannot and should not be kind to this miserable excuse for a human being. Long may he burn in the deepest pits of hell.
