Seymour Hersh on The Daily Show

It is a truly sad commentary that I get more real news from a fake news show than I get from Fox or CNN. Sure I get the trainwrecks and the snarling Democratic senators but there's more going on.

Hersh has laid out what the Bush agenda is for the Middle East and it ain't pretty or good or healthy. Iran, Libya, Syria, Lebanon. Bush is planning on jamming a funnel down each and every one of their throats and forcing them to partake of his brand of freedom. I think Freedom is going to be a swear word in the Middle East if it isn't already. I'm sure Bush is, I'm sure Democracy is a spit worthy curse of the highest order.

How many people in Iran actually even have any idea what a Democracy is? How many care? Democracy and freedom at the barrel of a really big ass gun. That's Bush-style democratizing, yeah Pardner.

Anyway, Hersh had alot of good and interest points to make. That their are basically two types of person in any position of control. The knuckleheads who actually buy into Bush's brand of colonization by forced democratization. And then there are the ones who've realized that saying anything but yes to whatever bizarre crap ol Bushface spews. I wish it were fun and games like on That's My Bush but he strikes me as a deadly serious but horribly, horribly misguided crusader. Like a modern day acid trip version of the Man of La Mancha.

And you know, that's fine for the crazy motherfucker who shouts at traffic and listens to a walkman with no batteries but its not such a great trait in your country's leader.

So he thinks he's this great Christian crusader that will bring his democracy and freedom to the Middle East, whether they want it or not. Um yeah, and when shit starts exploding in this country. I hope they start with his place.
