What's That Tell You About Its "Legality"

Not even having the deck stacked in Bush's favor could he get his wiretap bill pushed through the Senate.

Eavesdropping Bill Stalls which should (but won't) tell Mr. Bush that he's been engaging in illegal and unethical practices in tapping American citizen's phones without proper authorization to do so.

Senator Feingold said it better though.
The president has basically said: I'll agree to let a court decide if I'm breaking the law if you pass a law first that says I'm not breaking the law," Feingold said. "That won't help re-establish a healthy respect for separation of powers. It will only make matters worse."

Which is to say, let's not allow Bush to continue wiping his ass with our Constitution, eh?
