The Downing Street Memo

Democracy For America has posted a copy of the Downing Street Memo that shows pretty conclusively that ShrubCo was committed to going to war on Iraq regardless of the threat he posed or did not pose to the US and its allies.

Read the memo. Give it some thought. Did you vote for Bush? Are you pissed off about it now? You should be.

Bush wanted to remove Saddam, through military action, justified by the conjunction of terrorism and WMD. But the intelligence and facts were being fixed around the policy.

This was relying on bad intel, this was falsifying intelligence to make it appear that Saddam posed a threat. This is willful, intentional and criminal. Far worse than RatherGate, the memo's reality is not being disputed but its being far, far under-reported by the media in the US. It should be read by every citizen of this nation.
